Classical Training

Toronto Brothers Ashwin and Rohin Iyer have been studying Carnatic Music (the classical music of South India) for 18 years. They are senior disciples of veteran musician and musicologist, Sangita Kala Acharya Kalaimamani Shri S. R. Janakiraman.

Indo-Canadian Roots

Ashwin and Rohin have a deep sense of pride in both Canadian and Indian culture. Through performance and education, their goal is to establish classical Carnatic Music as a mainstream phenomenon in North America.

The Art of Science

Although music has a very important place in their lives, Ashwin and Rohin are also engineers by profession and are both currently pursuing postgraduate degrees at the University of Toronto.

Shri S. R. Janakiraman is a veteran musician and brilliant musicologist renowned for his powerfully authoritative and profoundly inspiring lecture-demonstrations.
